AI Knowledge, Writing & Communication Assistants

A programme manager's real output is often words — charters, RAID logs, steering-committee decks, stakeholder emails — and this category covers the general-purpose and workspace-embedded AI assistants that draft, summarise and rewrite that material. Notion AI and Microsoft Copilot work best when they already sit inside the documents and messages a PM produces, pulling context automatically rather than requiring it to be copy-pasted in. Claude and ChatGPT are more general-purpose: strongest for structured writing, summarising long or messy source material, and reasoning through a tricky stakeholder situation before it's put in writing. None of these replace a PM's judgement about what to say to whom, but they meaningfully cut the time spent on the first draft, freeing attention for the parts of the message that actually need a human's political read of the room.
