The most mature versions (Wrike's risk prediction, monday's Digital Workers, ClickUp's Brain) go further and take low-risk actions themselves, such as reassigning a stalled task or posting a summary to Slack, while leaving anything consequential for a human to approve. For a programme spanning many workstreams, the practical value is less about any single clever feature and more about compressing the hours a PM spends chasing status into minutes, so the freed time goes into stakeholder judgement calls the AI genuinely cannot make.
